Maine the Way is a quarterly magazine focused on the stories and beauty of the state of Maine.
“In Issue 03, we head out to a lighthouse miles offshore, eat ployes in Madawaska, visit with a realist painter, and so much more! Join us in our third seasonal celebration of all things Maine.”
In collaboration with Cam Held and Christine Reighley.
A brand identity for a fictional company that sells eggs in packs of three. I created Nested, whose mission is to provide consumers with free range, eco-friendly products that they can feel good about eating. These eggs are 100% organic, hormone and antibiotic free, allowing the customer to feel guilt-free about their choices.
A brand identity for a fictional company that sells eggs in packs of three. I created Earlybird, whose mission is to foster sustainable practices and keep business local. The eggs must be purchased directly from the farm or the local farmer’s market, and the package can be reused with every purchase, allowing for a smaller impact on the planet.
That's A Good Story...
This book was a class-wide collaboration. Each student worked individually to narrate and illustrate personal stories, then came together to bind the book. We printed ten copies using a risograph printer, laser-cut the cover, and bound the pages using the French-fold method.
This trifold is a visual representation of the word 'funkify' in celebration of its addition to the Oxford English Dictionary in 2017. I was inspired by the 1970s hip hop scene of New York City and funk bands such as Earth, Wind & Fire and Kool & The Gang. 50 copies were printed using a risograph printer in order to portray the rich, colorful history of the funk music scene both literally and figuratively.
This poster is a typographic representation of my week in Hamburg, Germany during the summer of 2017. I was often unsure of where I was going when trying to get from one place to the next and wanted to represent the chaos of being lost in a place where you are unable to fully communicate with the people around you.
These word marks were created for a study in letterform design. I chose the words because I thought they contained some of the most interesting letterforms to work with. After an initial sketching phase with at least 10 designs for each word, I chose one of each to develop further and digitize using TypeTool.
